In a soma session, we'll slow down together and turn toward the body, exploring what's alive beneath the surface and letting your inner wisdom lead us toward fresh clarity and presence.

The body is a map to the psyche.

It’s the physical vessel that holds our entire inner landscape, the center of our experience itself. Every feeling, sensation, and action takes place in the body. Even  thoughts, which we tend to attribute to the mind, often carry a felt charge somewhere underneath them. The truth is, body and mind are not separable. They operate in tandem, and together they give rise to our mental, emotional, and spiritual lives. 

The mind isn’t the enemy. But the conditions of modern life push us to live disproportionately in our heads. We overthink, over-analyze, and over-process while remaining largely unconscious of, sometimes actively suppressing, what’s happening beneath the surface. Under persistent pressure, we become anxious, foggy, and chronically tense. We lose the thread back to our deeper sense of truth. 
 

This is what I think so many of us are silently yearning for–dedicated time and space to downshift and start listening to what’s true below the busyness. Each session is a focused pause, an invitation to notice and get curious about what’s really here, right now, underneath the surface-level noise. 

 

Together, we’ll explore the language of your own body. We’ll find grounded places to work from, restore contact with your internal signals and make meaning of the emotions and sensations that are present, allowing their natural intelligence to lead us toward greater clarity, presence, and new ways of being in the world.

What this is and isn’t

This isn’t therapy, and these sessions aren’t about fixing or advice-giving. Our time together is a guided, experiential inquiry into whatever stuckness, tension, conflict, or uncertainty is present, using the body and your own internal wisdom to unfold more information and insight. You might bring a specific question or decision you’re sitting with, a felt sense that you want to get back to yourself, or simply come without an agenda.

These sessions are a great place to start if you’re newer to somatic work and want to get a taste of body-based healing without committing to a longer container. The only other "requirement" is simply a willingness to report on present experience.

 

Sessions are 60 minutes long and held virtually. We’ll begin by orienting, settling into the space, and checking in with what’s present. From there, we’ll follow the thread of your soul and body, bringing forward sensation, image, emotion, memory, sometimes even messages directly from your internal source of truth. We follow what’s alive and we see where it leads. Most people leave feeling more settled, more themselves, and often surprised by what gets brought into the room.
